Is it okay to practice jumping everyday?
I am 5 foot, 8 inches and I am trying to dunk a basketball. Currently, I can curl my fingers around the rim, but I'm not yet able to "throw" the ball in the basket. I am 135 pounds (yeahhh, I'm a skinny fellow) and I usually do some weightlifting around 3 times a week... I mostly focus on the lower body to strengthen my calves, hamstrings, and quads, but I also do some upper body and core exercises along with some running. I like doing a lot of box jumps to help increase vertical jumps. How many days a week should I practice jumping for maximum results, and what are other techniques/exercises I can do to help me improve my vertical?
