Sanyo LCD TV Model DP32648 dosn't have a picture, just shows a blue and black vertical line..?

The blue and black vertical line are where there is a icon for the input or channel would be. when i put it on a channel with static it just turns bright white with two tiny lines on the right side (blue and yellow) i have tried the smacking around the screen method and unplugging for 24 hours method (also held power to release power from capacitors), also sound works great, what does it sound like the problem is, im not a newbie at soldering, i'm just a newbie to working on lcd screens, P.S. Taking it too a repair shop is out of the question, way too expensive, i'll throw it away before i do that haha
